This past Saturday was fairly busy for me; I had a baby shower in the afternoon, Todd & I had to go to Saturday evening mass (instead of giving up something for Lent this year, we decided to make an effort to go to church each weekend during Lent), and we had a 30th birthday party in the evening.
The baby shower was for Katie, one of my college teammates (we ran cross country) and roommates. She lives near Atlanta currently but is originally from Columbus so there was a shower for her in town with some of her family and high school/college friends. She's due in May with her first child, a baby girl!
Lots of presents to open

After going to 5:00 PM mass, we had to make a quick stop home so Todd could finish making his batch of beer. While I was at the baby shower all afternoon, he was at home working on his beer--the first time he's made it at our new house (so basically he hasn't made any in over a year). The lager should be ready to drink a couple months.
Our last event of the day was for my friend Courtney's 30th birthday. Her & her husband live in New York but her parents flew her in and had a birthday party for her at Spagio Wine Lounge. It was nice to hang out with my best girl friends (and Dave!) while Todd was able to hang out with their husbands. We had all just seen each other at Christmas but a lot has changed since then since one of my friends had her baby and another is pregnant.

It was a busy day but a really fun day catching up with old friends!
