New Dining Room Furniture

After living in our house for almost a year, we finally went shopping for dining room furniture last weekend.  Our dining room has been empty except for the liquor/wine glass shelves and liquor cabinet.  So basically it wasn't a dining room but instead Todd's alcohol room.

We honestly weren't sure where to even look for dining room furniture so we drove over to Polaris to shop around some of the furniture stores that way.  We had already looked online at Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and Restoration Hardware and nothing really jumped out at us.  We made the mistake of going to Arhaus first because, of course, we fell in love with a custom-made, dark cherry table.  We fell out of love when we found out the price was $3000....just for the table!  We debated just buying the table and making our guests stand while eating but figured chairs were kinda of a must-have item.  Our next stop was Front Room Furnishings, which was a bust since they don't carry dining room furniture.  Our third and final stop of the day was Haverty's.   We found a dining room set that we liked (and liked the price!) but we still wanted to shop around a bit because we felt like the set wasn't really fancy enough for a dining room and looked fairly similar to our kitchen table.

The next day, we drove over to Dublin, near Tuttle, to check out Macy's Furniture Gallery.  We were pleasantly surprised when we found a dining room set that we both really liked.  The good news was that it was on sale (but then again, when isn't furniture on sale?) but the bad news is that it's on back order until the end of May.  I guess that means it's popular though!

Sometime in May, we will be the proud owners of this dining room set and I can't wait to finally have furniture in our dining room

The other good news is that we went to Giant Eagle to buy gift cards to pay for the furniture....we earned almost $7 in fuel perks!!
