Friday was our annual trip to the Circleville Pumpkin Show and it marked the 10th year Todd & I have gone! It's hard to believe too that it was already Lucy's 5th time going (and Cece's 2nd time). Since Lucy has preschool on Fridays, Todd worked a half day and then we picked Lucy up from school and made the drive south to Circleville. We knew it would be crowded because the weather was amazing (almost a little too warm for the end of October!) and a lot of schools in central Ohio had the day off. We didn't have too much trouble finding a parking spot but it was definitely crowded and probably one of the longer lines we've had to stand in at Lindsey's Bakery to get a dozen of their famous pumpkin donuts. As luck would have it, Olive had the day off school so we ended up running into Lynn and her family while we were there and it was perfect timing because we were able to help each other out and take pictures of each other in front of the pumpkin tower. We also waited in line at the bakery together so Lucy & Olive played and it made the wait a little more bearable. They were on their way out after that so we spent another couple hours walking around, eating food, and checking out some of the exhibits. The girls were getting hot & tired (as was I!) so we called it a day and made the walk back to the car.
On the way home, we decided to make a quick stop at Brew Brothers so Todd could get another stamp in his Columbus Ale Trail passport book. We figured we're never in that area of town so we might as well stop since we were literally driving right past it. It was great timing too because I think we avoided a lot of the rush hour traffic and made it home pretty quickly and just in time for dinner.

I thought this was so clever--hamburger & fries made out of pumpkins

Cece's first bite of a pumpkin donut....and then she cried and wanted more so it's a safe bet to say she loved it

We went into an Arts & Crafts building and Lucy loved looking at these miniature dollhouses & displays (this one was a gas station/auto shop)

This picture is typical Cece--I was trying to get a picture of her & Todd looking at me but she went in for a bite of food instead

Lucy spotted this metal pumpkin with chairs and table in someone's front yard as we walked back to the car and wanted me to take her picture
