At the beginning of January, my in-laws go to Florida for a few months so we like to spend Easter with them and the rest of Todd's immediate and extended family since we haven't seen them since Christmas. We made the drive up late Saturday morning, stopped for lunch, and arrived in the mid-afternoon which gave us time to visit and enjoy dinner with family before Easter on Sunday. The girls were so excited to see that the Easter bunny stopped by MaMa & PaPa's house. After opening their baskets, we all went to church and then spent the rest of our day at Todd's sister's house for the extended family Easter lunch before making the drive back home in the late afternoon.
We got a new car in January but this was the first time we actually turned the TV on; they each had picked out a couple movies to bring and spent the drive there and back watching them (although, Cece did fall asleep for most of the drive back on Sunday after not napping for two days)
I had ordered some paint your own cookies from my cookie lady so the kids spent some time doing that on Saturday before dinner
Cece starting to paint
Lucy working on her masterpiece
This girl is all smiles when it involves treats
So proud of her painted cookie
Easter bunny arrived late Saturday night
Lucy found her basket hiding behind a chair on Easter morning
Cece spotted her basket but couldn't reach it so Lucy got it down
Easter morning smiles
The Easter bunny brought Lucy some Descendants dolls, which she couldn't wait to open up, and the Descendants DVDs; Cece was more interested in trying to open her goldfish crackers to eat instead of her Shimmer & Shine boat bath toy and princess book she got
The girls also received unicorn sticker books, matching nightgowns with a matching one for their bitty babies too, and stick-on earring and ring sets

Cousins after church before opening more Easter baskets

Another family one
And one with Todd's parents as well
They each got an Easter basket from MaMa & Papa
After Easter lunch, the kids had an Easter egg hunt outside
Running around trying to find the eggs
Afterwards, my sister-in-law had cascarones to break open (confetti eggs)
Confetti was in everyone's hair
The kids couldn't stop smiling and giggling while doing this so it was all worth it
