Bump Update: Week 31
How far along: 31 weeks & 3 days
Size of baby: A little over 16 inches, weighs a little over 3 pounds, and is the size of a pineapple
Weight gain: 16 pounds...I gained 1 pound in 3 weeks & my doctor was happy with that so I feel good about my weight gain so far. I was a little concerned because I thought I should be gaining 1 pound/week but everyone is different and as long as my doctor thinks everything is okay with the baby then I'm happy.
Maternity clothes: Maternity pants/shorts and regular & maternity tops & dresses
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks contractions several times a day, leg cramps, and some soreness in my hip flexors/groin area
Gender: Girl
Exercise: Running & teaching 6-7 days/week
Food cravings: Ice cream!
Food aversions: Nothing
Movement: Tons of movement throughout the day & night...it seems like she is never sleeping anymore! I laughed the other day at work when I was taking blood pressures during a treadmill fitness test and I noticed my stethoscope move on my stomach because she was moving so much. Her butt is also up in my ribcage on the right side (confirmed by the 3D ultrasound) which I've noticed is starting to get a bit more uncomfortable when I'm sitting down at times.
Sleep: Been sleeping great still but if I wake up in the middle of the night, especially when I get up to go to the bathroom, it takes me a little bit longer to fall back asleep because she is moving around so much.
Looking forward to: Attempt #2 for the 3D ultrasound...our first 3D ultrasound last week was uneventful as baby girl was in the perfect position for birth (head down, spine up) but it also meant she was looking directly at my back and she refused to turn her head so we could see her pretty face. We try again on Friday morning. Good news though is that she is still a girl and she has hair! I'm also looking forward to maternity photos. We were supposed to take them this Saturday but I rescheduled for a couple weeks later in hopes I would have a bigger bump.
Best moment of the week: Laying on the couch with Todd in the evenings and having him be able to see our girl move all around. It really is such a crazy, wonderful thing to see/feel!
Mike and I love to just watch my belly when we settle in for the night. It's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteYou look incredible. I am glad you're feeling well!
