We were finally home for a weekend but that doesn't mean we weren't busy! On Friday, Lucy & I met up with some friends (my two good girlfriends from grade school/high school and their kids) at the zoo for a play date. They were so adorable holding hands when we first met up and were great the whole time we hung out. I'm hoping they will become lifelong friends just like their mamas are.

They even played together nicely!
On Saturday, we were expecting one of my friends and her daughter from out of town and weren't real sure what time they would come over so we headed to Zoombezi Bay for a few hours since we'd only been once so far this season. Lucy had a blast and could go here everyday if we let her.

Lucy always likes to start on the slides in the toddler area before moving on to either the bigger kid area, lazy river, or wave pool
We got there right when it opened and there was hardly anyone in the toddler area yet; when we came back about an hour later, it was packed

Once our friends were in town, we invited some other friends over too and we all walked to the Powell Festival in downtown Powell from our house. It so hot out that day so we only walked around for a little bit, letting the girls play, before we found a semi-shaded spot to enjoy some dinner from the local food trucks. Afterwards, we all walked back to our house for drinks, s'mores, and fireworks.

The lighting was bad but the food we got was delicious! Todd got pieorgies and I got a greek salad

I was sad to see Emily & Kendall leave on Sunday morning but I was really glad they made the trip down from Cleveland
Sunday was spent playing catch up on some housework and yard work while my dad took Lucy to the pool for a couple hours. We've been lucky that the weather the past few weekends has been hot so we can take full advantage of all the fun summer activities like Zoombezi Bay and the pool!
