Haunted Greenhouse, Bridal Shower, and Birthday Party

On Friday, the girls & I went to deMonye's to check out their haunted greenhouse and other Halloween activities they had.  I had only heard about this a few weeks ago and wish I had known previous years because it was so much fun!  We got there a couple hours after they opened and it wasn't crowded at all; in fact, even when we left a couple hours later, it was never super crowded.  I'm sure it's much busier on the weekends and maybe closer to Halloween.  Anyways, for $8/kid (and $2/adult), they received a goodie bag, snacks & drinks, a pumpkin to decorate, and lots of fun activities to do like a straw maze, bounce house, haunted greenhouse, corn play area, and games.  Both girls were a little scared going through the haunted greenhouse (ok, Lucy was afraid there was going to be really loud noises which there weren't and Cece pretty much clung to me the entire time) but Lucy wanted to go through it several times.  We spent a good couple hours playing (Cece mainly ate popcorn) and even saw some baby piggies on our way out.

Outside of deMonye's (it's close to the Columbus airport)

Cece was even scared of this cat so I only got a picture of Lucy with it

They had a bunch of tables set up for eating snacks and decorating pumpkins and then when you wanted to play, the entrance to the straw maze was through the witch's mouth and then straw maze took you to the rest of the activities (although you could also just walk around the straw maze if you wanted to skip it)

We decorated pumpkins first

They give you sticker kits in your goodie bag for the pumpkins; Lucy got a witch and Cece got a silly face

In the straw maze, they had some little toy cars and trucks the kids could ride; Lucy was a little too big for them but still insisted on riding them

Slide!

Cece went into the smaller bounce house with Lucy but wasn't a fan (notice a theme here?)

So Lucy went to the bigger bounce house and was in there for awhile

Cece was happy playing in the corn area though

Always a great picture for comparison shots year to year

Cece covered her ears the entire time but at least she's kinda smiling

Bowling

Hey, now she's happy!  Eating her popcorn and contently sitting on the hay

So many picture opportunities!

Todd had class all day on Saturday so after taking the girls to the Made Local Marketplace, I had a babysitter come over for a few hours so I could head to Lindey's in German Village for a bridal shower for Gina, one of my good friend's from high school.  We spent a few hours eating, laughing, and catching up.  Todd & I can't wait to head to Chicago at the end of December for her NYE wedding!

High school friends

Love this girl and even though we don't see each other nearly enough, we always pick up right where we left off

After I subbed a SpinCore class on Sunday morning, we ended our weekend at Emily Traphagen Park in Powell for a 1st birthday party for our friends' son, Robbie.  It was definitely a lot hotter out than they expected it to be for a party at the beginning of October (it was in the high 80s!) but the kids didn't mind and had fun decorating pumpkins & donuts and playing on the playground.

Pretty sure I have way too many pictures of the girls in cutouts

The decorate your own donut bar was super cute

This weekend, we have plans to head up to our nephew's birthday party on Saturday and hopefully will be able to get in a visit to Leeds Farm or another fall activity on our to-do list on Sunday since Todd has to work the following weekend.
