Our Valentine's Day celebration extended across two days as we had Cece's preschool party the day before Valentine's Day and then Lucy's Kindergarten concert and our family celebration on Valentine's Day. I took off work on Wednesday to go to Cece's party and since it was a non-Kindergarten day for Lucy, she also tagged along. We dropped Cece off at school and then had a couple hours before her party so Lucy & I went to
We Rock the Spectrum to play. We had never been before and it was so much fun! They had a mini zipline, trampoline, climbing wall, climbing net, monkey bars, tons of swings, and another play area that Cece will love when we bring her next time that had dress up clothes, play kitchen, and other toys.

After an hour and a half of playing, Lucy & I left the play place to head back to Cece's school for her Valentine's Day party; Cece & Lucy played in this rice sensory bin for most of the time
Cece also made this lovebug headband

On Valentine's Day, Cece & I went to Lucy's Kindergarten concert in the afternoon. There was a slight mix-up on the time of the concert (her teacher told us one time and the school newsletter listed another time so I called the office to confirm and they told me the wrong time) so we got to her school 40 min early instead of 10 min early. There were a few other parents who this also happened to so at least we weren't alone! The good news is that we got front rows seats to the concert and a perfect view of Lucy. They sang 6 or 7 songs and it was just really cute. Despite not taking a nap, Cece did surprisingly well too and was pretty entertained by the songs...although there were several times she wanted to run up to see Lucy.
Since we got to Lucy's school early, we were able to find her portrait of the person she loves--which is Cece!

Lucy had tap later that day and Todd made sure to come home from work a little early to make the girls a surprise Valentine's Day dinner--heart shaped pancakes! After dinner, the girls opened a couple gifts we had got for them and Lucy gave all of us a few valentines she had made. She also surprised me with some chocolate and nail polish that she had picked out at Target when Todd took her.
