We had quite the weekend this past weekend though with our annual trip to Anthony Thomas Chocolate Company to see the Easter Bunny, playing at the playground (it was 70 degrees and so nice out!), having a date night, "hosting" our neighborhood Easter egg hunt, and having a free friends & family class at the studio I'm going to start teaching at to get some practice in. Trust me, by Sunday late afternoon, I was spent!
These two were pretty excited to see the Easter Bunny
After seeing the Easter Bunny, they give the kids 2 plastic eggs filled with either a bag of jelly beans or 3 chocolate eggs
Then you head upstairs to watch them actually make the chocolate in the factory
We were lucky enough to get there right at the same time as Lynn & her family so we were all able to hang out and actually get a family picture
The tour drops you off in their store/gift shop where we always spend way too much money on chocolate and then a trolley drives you back around to the parking lot
Riding the trolley
My favorite gang of little kids
Since it was so nice out, we decided to head to the park and Lynn & family joined us
Slide time
Lucy & Olive climbing
Lucy made a bird feeder at Girl Scouts last week and has been obsessed with spying on the birds and checking to see if they've eaten any of the bird seed
I planned our monthly date night with Todd in mind--we finally made it to Kai's Crab Boil! Todd was beyond excited to go there
Working hard for his food
We got 2 lbs of shrimp and crab legs
Dinner was not complete without bibs and gloves
Dinner was followed by a few mile drive down the road to a newer local brewery, Somewhere in Particular
You know he had to get a flight of beers
Prize table for our Easter egg hunt that I was in charge of this year (no one wanted to plan it this year so I stepped up and decided to take it over; I ended up filling over 800 plastic eggs the last couple weeks, ordered some food, and got some prizes for the "bonus eggs"and golden ticket winner)
I ordered some sandwich platters & side salads from the grocery store and picked up some chips and cookies too
Family pic after we put all 800+ eggs out
Cece finding an egg
Lucy made her way over to an area that no other kids were in so her bucket filled up quickly
We probably had at least 40 kids there
Full buckets!
Grandpa helping Cece open her eggs
Lucy was excited that she had a bonus egg and got some bubbles
Girls eating while we cleaned up
I had 11 amazing friends that came and took my friends & family class at Shred415 Sawmill--so excited to be on the schedule soon!
