Father's Day 2019

For Father's Day this year, the girls & I took Todd out to brunch at High Bank Distillery and spoiled him with some presents at home.  Even though rain was predicted that day, it stayed away and we were able to sit right by the big open garage doors and enjoy the weather.  The food was fantastic there (the girls even got chocolate chip pancakes!) and we will definitely be back again to try out their dinner menu.  I wish I could say we had some other amazing plans for the day but since the rain held off, Todd & I ended up mulching in the afternoon and then he started working on painting the "new" guest room (what used to be the nursery is now the guest room and unfortunately, we needed to touch up a few spots and even though Todd got the same exact paint brand and color, it didn't quite match up so now we have to repaint the entire room).

Todd & his girls

Cece had been sick with a 103-104 fever the end of last week but she was finally fever-free on Sunday and was finally acting more like herself

Todd opted for a bloody mary to go along with...

his breakfast sandwich that had bacon, fried egg, cheese, and a hash brown on it

I got a cheeseburger (surprise surprise) and a side of pimento mac & cheese

Todd has his game face on when playing shuffleboard

Lucy's turn

Todd's main present was some more beer equipment for his beer-making room but I also took the girls to Crafted Drafts last week to pick out a variety 6 pack of beer for him--they each picked 3 beers based on the label and Todd was very excited to try what they picked out

Lucy also did some arts & crafts and made Todd a beer out of construction paper with a paper clip handle

Her card also had a beer drawn in it--notice a theme?
