Voodoo Oils

The other night, Todd brought over a small package his mom had sent me. I opened it up and found a tiny bottle of what Todd calls his mom's voodoo medicine, or in this case, voodoo oil. She sent me a note that said it is for my leg and promotes healing. It contains peppermint oil and PanAway mixed with some massage oil. I looked up PanAway because I had never heard of it and I found out it contains wintergreen essential oil, which is often used for massage. It was created by some guy named Gary Young following a severe injury to the ligaments in his leg and is soothing to the skin while providing comforting warmth to muscles after exercise. I'm suppose to rub one drop on my sore spot on my leg 2x/day.

My bottle of voodoo oil Putting 1 drop on my sore spot... ...and rubbing it in
At this point, I'll try anything that will help my leg get better so you can bet I've been using it twice a day. Thanks Cindy!
On a side note, it's been 3 weeks since I last ran and I plan to run an easy 3-4 mi tonight after work in this amazing weather. Let's hope my leg holds up!
