Yes, I'm aware we're only going to 5 days, I tend to over pack (my bag is the big one on the left weighing in at 48.5 lbs!)
I'm excited to go and get away for a few days. It was a stressful week at work so it'll be nice to relax with Todd. I also realized I've never actually watched a marathon so I hope to be near the finish on Monday to see some of the elite runners, such as Americans Ryan Hall and Meb Keflezighi, finish strong.
The weather forecast looks decent, a little cold and rainy today and tomorrow but around 60 degrees and sunny the rest of our trip. Since it's suppose to be cold and rainy, I'm not really sure what we're going to do today once we get into Boston besides head to the marathon expo to pick up my race packet & timing chip and then immediately turn back in my timing chip so I can defer to run the marathon next year. The expo for Boston is awesome too. There are so many vendors giving out free stuff and samples and so many running clothes to look at, we could easily be there for 2 hours. At least I don't have to worry about staying off my feet. Gotta look at the bright side, right?
Good luck to everyone running Boston! I wish more than anything I was at the starting line with you all on Monday morning but I'll be out there cheering you on knowing that I will be back in 2011.
Stay tuned because I plan to blog a couple times in Boston and put up lots of pictures!
