Weekly Recap: May 3-9

After more than 2 months of not running, besides the 1 week I attempted to run again before Boston, I am officially bored of the elliptical. I think I'm going to try to take a few spinning classes each week in addition to the class I teach to keep things a little bit more interesting. I did jump rope for a few minutes during my circuits this week and my leg felt great, no pain at all. I cannot wait to start running again on June 1!

Monday: 1 hr elliptical; lifted upper body

Tuesday: 35 min elliptical; lifted core

Wednesday: 40 min elliptical; 30 min total body circuit* (which was killer! see below....)

Thursday: REST

Friday: took 45 min spinning class

Saturday: 45 min elliptical; 40 min total body circuit

Sunday: taught 20 min core & taught 50 min spinning


Total body circuit from Wednesday:

Circuit #1--2 x 15 (no rest in between)
  • Walking lunges
  • Push press
  • Bent over row
  • Running arms
  • Squat thrusts
  • Push ups

Circuit #2-- 2 x 15 (no rest in between)

  • Wall sit w/ bicep curl
  • Plie squats
  • Reverse flys
  • Jump rope (30 sec)
  • Squat w/ punch
  • Triceps push ups

i'm so impressed that youve been able to stand the elliptical as long as you did without getting bored!

awesome circuits too. i think i'll write them down for days that i can't hit up the gym
