My planned tempo run on Monday didn't turn out to be a tempo run but I nailed my speed workout on Wednesday and long run on Saturday. This week I'm going to back off the mileage on my long run but add a 2-a-day on Wednesday (hopefully) just to get used to running multiple times in a day for Hood to Coast.
Monday: 5 mi (8:07 pace)
Tuesday: 30 min elliptical; lifted total body
Wednesday: 5 mi speedwork (7:26 pace; 1 mi warm up, 6 x 400 w/ 400 easy in b/w [1-3 @ 6:58 pace, 4-6 @ 6:48 pace], 1 mi cool down); core (Jackie Warner Power Circuit Abs on Exercise on Demand)
*ran on treadmill b/c thunderstorms outside
Thursday: 30 min elliptical; lifted total body
taught 50 min spinning
Friday: REST
Saturday: 15 mi (8:19 pace; ran 9 mi by myself in 7:56 pace then Todd joined me & we ran 6 mi in 8:55 pace)
Sunday: taught 20 min core & taught 50 min spinning
TOTAL: 25 mi
