I had a huge week in terms of running last week. I hit 40 miles and topped the week with a strong 18 miler. I hadn't hit 40 miles in probably almost 2 years; even when I trained for the Columbus Marathon last year, I never hit 40 miles. I felt great on my 18 miler; I averaged 8:24 pace with my last 6 miles all under 8:15 pace. Todd was my sherpa and biked next to me the entire 2.5 hours, talking to me and supplying me with water, gatorade, and sport beans. He might have won Husband of the Week for that. I'm secretly hoping he'll top that this week though since I plan on running 21 miles on Saturday. I also had a great speedwork session on Wednesday morning doing mile repeats. I have another big (for me) mileage week before cutting back the following week.
