We had our monthly book club meeting last night to discuss our November book, Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson.
Another successful book club selection! Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down despite it being a psychological thriller that creeped me out at times. The book is divided up into 3 sections and the last section definitely has quite the twist I wasn't expecting. Before I Go to Sleep begins with Christine waking up and not remembering her life for the past 20+ years. Her husband, Ben, tells her she was hit by a car when she was in her late 20s and as a result, lost her memory and can only retain memories for a 24 hour period. Christine soon discovers she has been seeing a doctor to help with her memory and has also been keeping a journal and reads it everyday to try to remember things. She lives every day scared & confused, especially when she finds that she has written in the front of her journal, "DON'T TRUST BEN." The entire book is suspenseful & quite the page turner!
