Maroon 5 Concert

Since Todd & I met almost 5 years ago, all I've talked about wanting to do is go to a Maroon 5 concert.  They never seemed to come to Columbus and we even missed them by just a few days when we went out to San Francisco last spring.  When I heard last fall that they would be finally making an appearance in Columbus, I immediately told Todd we had to get tickets.

We started our evening on Wednesday at Tai's Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar for dinner where we had sushi & crab rangoon

and veggie pad thai since it was Ash Wednesday

Despite being up in the nosebleed section, our seats actually weren't all that bad.  We arrived right when Owl City was playing "Fireflies" and listened to them for about the next 20 minutes before Neon Trees took the stage.

Waiting anxiously for Maroon 5

Finally after 2 opening bands & a couple set changes, Maroon 5 took the stage at around 9:15 PM and it was an amazing concert!  This concert was definitely in my top 3 along with Michael Buble & The Killers.  The energy was electric (mainly teenage girls and middle aged women acting like teenage girls screaming their heads off) and the set list was great.  Maroon 5 has had a lot of hit songs so I knew almost all of them except a few from their newest album.  It was well worth the wait all these years to see them!  They said this was the first time they had ever sold out an arena before, which really surprised me, so this concert meant a lot to them to as a band.  Anyways, it was an awesome night.
