Cecelia at 10 Months

10 months on May 18, 2017

I know this 10 month update is about a week late but we had Cece's follow-up appointment from her 9 month well visit this morning to see if she'd gained weight and if she'd made any progress with becoming more mobile.  Good news is that she gained a little over a pound (which although it still puts her in less than the 3rd percentile, our pediatrician was happy with) and she seems to be getting stronger. While Cece isn't crawling yet, she's now able to at least stand and hold onto something without assistance which is a step in the right direction.  Before she literally wouldn't even put her feet on the ground and would just lift her legs up.  We've really been working with her these past few weeks to get her to put more weight on her legs and arms and she's definitely getting better and stronger.  If we put her on all fours, she will stay there for a few seconds before falling down (which a month ago she couldn't do at all) and when she's on her tummy (which isn't very often because she hates it), she can stick her bottom up in the air and kinda scoot forward a few inches or so to grab something in front of her.  I think she's just been taking her time and hopefully we'll start seeing a lot more movement from her in the next month.

Weight:  16 lbs on May 26, 2017 at her follow-up appt (still less than 3rd percentile)

Length: No idea, probably a little over 28 inches (She was 27.75 inches at her 9 month appt)

Clothes: Still wearing all 6 & 9 month clothes as well as size 2 shoes and size 2 diapers

Eating:  Eating has been a breeze with Cece & she still loves any food we give her which makes life a lot easier.  Good news too is that she gained a pound in the last 5 weeks too! I have almost completely weaned Cece and she's down to two nursing sessions (first thing in the morning and before bed at night) but I'm hoping to drop both of those in the next couple weeks.  I still have plenty of milk frozen in our deep freezer so she'll definitely make it to a year solely on breast milk.  After doing this with Lucy, I honestly wasn't sure if I'd be up for doing it again with Cece so I'm actually very proud that I stuck with it.  Those 3:00 AM pumping sessions were worth it! We've also transitioned her from bottles to sippy cups so she gets milk in her sippy cup for all meals.  She eats breakfast around 8:00 AM, lunch around noon, a snack after her afternoon nap around 4:30 PM, and we eat dinner at 6:00 PM.

Sleeping:  Nothing new to report in the sleeping department.  Cece still takes 2 naps/day, typically around 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM with each lasting anywhere from 1-2 hours.  She goes to bed between 7:00-7:30 PM and will sleep until 6:30-7:00 AM.

Likes: Eating, bath time, being outside, being tickled

Dislikes: Being on her tummy, being held by people she doesn't recognize

Milestones: Spent night at Grandma & Grandpa's for the 1st time (May 1), celebrated Mother's Day (May 14), celebrated Mommy's birthday (May 15), top right tooth/4th tooth (May 18)
