Hot Weekend

Since we're in the midst of a heat wave here and it was over 90 degrees Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,  we spent most of our weekend at Zoombezi Bay.  The other highlights of the weekend included Lucy finishing up VBS on Friday (Cece & I got to watch all the kids perform a song) and a date night at Easton for Todd & I.

After VBS, I dragged the girls out to run a few errands and they were such good sports

They look forward to their weekly Friday afternoon ice cream sandwich or ice cream cone snack

Lucy has always loved going down the water slides at Zoombezi Bay...

but Cece would rather walk around in the water or float with her puddle jumper on

Perfect summer day

On our way home from Zoombezi Bay, we stopped at Smidge and a Pinch (locally owned baking & party supply store in Powell where they also sell cheesecake from The Cheesecake Girl) for the Young Entrepreneur Bake Sale; kids paid $10 to set up a table and sell their baked goods so we stopped in & the girls each picked out a treat

We went shopping at Easton and saw Ocean's Eight for our date night on Saturday; Todd's new favorite store is Lilly Pulitzer because while I tried on clothes, they gave him a beer

Nothing beats a big tub of movie theater popcorn with extra butter

Back to Zoombezi Bay on Sunday but this time we hung out at the new Otter Banks area
