First Weekend of Fall

We had an exciting first weekend of fall; we went to Lucy's Fall Festival at school on Friday night and on Saturday, we went apple picking at Lynd Fruit Farm and out to dinner at 101 Beer Kitchen.  We didn't do anything out of the ordinary on Sunday but overall, we just had a really good weekend and I honestly didn't want it to end (which I don't always normally feel!).

Fall Festival 2018

Since it was raining on Friday evening, they moved the festival indoors and they had a bounce house, slides, games, face painting, nail painting, a cake walk, and lots of food

and Lucy got a rainbow

Ending the night with ring pops & smiles

The temp dropped about 30 degrees from Friday (the last day of summer) and Saturday (the first day of fall) so we figured it was the perfect morning to go apple picking

She's been looking so much older just in the past few weeks

Met up with the Isons again this year

They've grown just a little bit since we went last year!

Hanging out on the bales of hay

We ended up buying one and the girls rode around the market sitting on it in the cart

Todd enjoying his beer during dinner which was pink because of the currants in it

Lucy loving her kids' meal on a lunch tray

Cece was excited after trying her brownie

After grocery shopping & taking the girls to the Y while I worked out, we hung out at home the rest of the day; Cece loves talking on her phone

Lucy made up a game where we each sit on a different piece of furniture reading and then when she called our name, we had to get up and she'd tell us how many spaces we could move our princess pieces on the castle map. I loved this game because it gave me time to finally finish reading my book! (Lucy is reading on the chair across from me)

Todd was reading a book for school on the bench and Cece was in her little gray chair but then wanted to join Todd on the bench

Moving their princess pieces

This coming weekend is a big one because it's Lucy's 5th birthday!  I planned a special night on Friday for her & I and then her Wizard of Oz birthday party is on Saturday with her friends along with a small family get together afterwards at our house.
