Cecelia's 3rd Birthday

On Thursday, Cece turned 3 & we had such a great day celebrating our sweet, smiley girl on her birthday.  We have a bigger celebration planned for today when we throw her a Shimmer & Shine party for our friends & family.

I had to go to work for a few hours in the morning on Thursday but then took off a little early to pick the girls up from dance camp and take them out to lunch.  Cece was able to pick any place she wanted and of course, as I anticipated, she picked McDonald's.  She actually requested to go to one a few miles down the road from us that has a Play Place.  We've never been to that one but drive by it quite often and the girls always ask to go.  I was pleasantly surprised with how nice and clean it actually was and the girls played for awhile after eating.  My parents, sister-in-law, and nephews (who are in town from the Bay area) came over for dinner, cake, and presents that evening.  All in all, it wasn't terribly exciting but Cece was just so happy all day that I know it was a really good birthday for her.

She's 3!

I was dying at her hand on the hip pose

Of course, always have to get them both together too

Picked them up from dance camp; since Cece turned 3 this week, she was finally able to join Lucy at a camp

Happy meals with some cheesy grins

They loved the play place

Birthday girl and her presents (and yes, she did want to change into the same dress but just in a different shade of pink)

Starting to open presents

Opening a bigger one!

My aunt & uncle gifted Cece with my cousin's old Kirsten doll and Cece was thrilled to have her own American Girl doll to play with like Lucy

Lucy wanted to get Cece a present so we went to Target one day and this is what she picked out for her (and bonus because it was on clearance and half off!)

Since the girls are into similar things, Lucy gets just as excited for Cece's presents because she knows she'll get to play with them too

Time for cake!
