Cece's Big Girl Room

Cece's been officially in her big girl room and bed now for almost 2 months but I'm just now getting around to posting about it.  The major task in this project was to redo the closest.  Cece was not only moving out of her crib but we were also switching bedrooms with the guest room so we wanted to redo that closet.  We were pretty much using the guest room closet as storage and it had sliding doors and wire shelves in it so we wanted to redo it like we had done the nursery closet years ago with doors that open up and nice built-in shelves. Todd started that project at the beginning of the year but with his classes and school work, it took awhile.  Our goal was to have Cece moved in by June so he had plenty of time.  After the closest was done, the rest was pretty simple--we bought a new bed, ordered some new furniture, moved her dresser and bookcase, and bought bedding and wall decor.  Cece's request was pink and she was very excited and happy to see her room for the first time when it was complete.

We had to buy and paint all new doors as well as the framing

We looked at some pictures online and Todd pieced together different closet units to make it work in the space we had

I LOVE how it turned out!

It always amazes me how Todd can do all of this on his own and it always turns out looking better than I expected

So I'm not posting any before pictures of the guest room because it truly was that room where we would throw stuff for later use and just kinda shut the door; once Todd finished the closest, we moved the queen guest bed into the new guest room and bought Cece's new twin bed
