Annual Trip to Lynd Fruit Farm

Besides our annual trip to Lynd Fruit Farm to go apple picking with friends this past weekend, we didn't really do much else.  Our next few weekends are busy (more birthday parties, including Lucy's birthday & party, and school events) so it's been nice to not have a whole lot planned.

We got lucky that the apples to pick this weekend were both Delicious varieties, Jonagold, & Jonathan and, besides Honey Crisp, Golden Delicious are my other favorite

Doing some quality control

We just barely missed the rain on Saturday morning when we were in the orchard so it was still relatively sunny & nice out

Cece & Brody discussing their favorite kind of apple (actually, I have no idea what they were saying to each other)

Cece wanted to pick a couple red apples too

Picking apples & playing together--they lasted at least 30 minutes in the orchard which is definitely a new record

3 years of apple picking with these kids

Family pic

Finally got a picture with baby Hazel!

As Lynn said over the weekend, Lucy & Cece are now at the age that Lynn & I  met and became friends--hoping these two will still be friends 30 years from now!

And every year they must like each other more as they sit closer to each other

As you can see, once we made it over to the market, the weather started to look a little worse

It was starting to rain a little bit by this point

Cece insisted on being the middle flower even though the step wasn't high enough for her
