I had a great week of workouts & running. The past few weeks I'd felt kinda slow during my runs but finally felt like I was running at a decent pace this week. It seems like every time I get injured (which let's be honest, happens pretty frequently), it takes longer & longer for me to get my speed back...ugh it's frustrating!
Monday: 5 mi (speedwork/ladder workout: 200, 400, 600, 800, 1200 with 400 easy in between with 1 mi warm up & 1 mi cooldown)
Tuesday: 45 min elliptical
Wednesday: 7 mi (tempo @ 8:04 pace)
30 min elliptical & taught 20 min core after work
Thursday: 30 min bike & The Spartacus Workout
*The Spartacus Workout is from Men's Health (hey, what can I say? I work with 3 guys) and is HARD. You're suppose to go through it 3x but I only managed 2x
Friday: REST
Saturday: 10 mi (long run @ 8:36 pace)
Sunday: taught 20 min core & 50 min spinning (and I'm still sore from the Spartacus workout on Thursday morning ha!)
This week I'm going to keep increasing my mileage and do some hill work (probably on the treadmill so I can control the distance and speed for each hill). Let me tell ya, Boston is not a flat course!
