Week 9 Recap: February 15-21

I wasn't really pleased with my training the past week. Yes, I hit most of my goal paces, but I felt tired and mentally wasn't in my training. I shortened a couple runs and slept in a few mornings which meant having to work out or run after work which I'm not a fan of. I think part of it has to do with all this snow we've been getting, it really does start to get to you after awhile!

Monday: 6 mi @ goal marathon pace + 10 sec; lifted total body

Tuesday: 45 min elliptical; stairs & core workout

Wednesday: 6 mi (1 mi warm up, 4 mi tempo @ 7:31 pace, 1 mi cool down)

Thursday: 30 min bike; lifted total body

Friday: 6 mi @ goal marathon pace (8:00); core

Saturday: 14 mi @ 8:23 pace

Sunday: taught 20 min core & taught 50 min spinning

TOTAL: 32 mi

I'm hoping this week will be better for me especially since it'll be my first 40 mi week & first 20 miler since my last marathon training cycle. Unfortunately, I have to be at work at 3:45am on Tuesday & Thursday but should be able to still get in some cross training & lifting both days. Sometimes you have an "off" week and I'm hoping that means this week will be a great one!

i always feel a bit off during my cutback weeks (which is what this one was right?) you'll be ready to attack this week no problem!
