Wait, what?? I can only pick 2 of my favorite magazines. Ok guys, quick confession. My current magazine addiction could be right up there with lip gloss & running/working out. In fact, I tend to read most magazines while I am working out. Although, this is only on the elliptical or bike, I cannot read anything on a treadmill. I only need to entertain myself when I'm cross training.
Ok, another quick confession. I subscribe to 10, yes 10, magazines. But, the way I see it, I'm actually saving money. I tend to find amazing deals online for magazines....for example, Glamour was only $5 for 12 issues/1 year. If I bought Glamour at the grocery store, I'd only be able to get 1 issue for about $5! So see, I'm saving money. Well, in my eyes I am!
If I have to pick just 2 magazines though, my 2 favorite would be:
My 10 magazines I subscribe to
If I have to pick just 2 magazines though, my 2 favorite would be:
1. Us Weekly
I heart celebrity gossip. This is what gets me through 3 hours on the elliptical when I can't run/train for my marathon. This is how I stay entertained on airplane trips. In fact, my favorite thing is to actually buy magazines at the airport. It's weird, I know. I'm well aware that 99.9% of the gossip in Us Weekly is false but I get sucked in anyways, especially if it has to do with the Biggest Loser contestants, the Bachelor/Bachelorette, or any sort of celebrity diet/weight loss.
2. Shape
Being an Exercise Physiologist, this magazine comes in handy when I need new or fresh exercises for my firefighters I train, for my boot camp class I teach, or even for myself. I like Shape the best because of all the other health topics and articles they have as well as the weight loss success stories.
And of course, Runner's World is a close third. I feel like a lot of their articles repeat though so sometimes I'm not getting new info.

Jenny - I just found your blog through top 2 Tuesdays. I was intrigued by the name of it since I am training to run my first half marathon in May - the flying pig. Then as I was reading through your blog I saw that you go to St. Joan of Arc. I actually grew up in Columbus and the people that baby-sat me when I was little went there. (I live in Lexington, KY now.) Anyways, I got excited b/c even though Columbus is huge I still get excited when I meet people from there.
Ok, so sorry for the long comment but just wanted to say hey and that I like your blog and look forward to reading it more :)
