Todd & I had a great weekend going to our 13th wedding together. One of my good friends that I've known since 2nd grade, Megan, was getting married. Not only was I going to the wedding, but I was also had the honor of being one of her bridesmaids. We started the wedding festivities off with the rehearsal dinner on Friday night. After going through a rehearsal at the church for about an hour, we all headed down the street to Claddaugh's Irish Pub. We had a great night hanging out with Lynn & Nathan as well as some of the other bridesmaids and their significant others.

All the bridesmaids, along with the bride & Mother of the Bride, arrived at the church around noon on Saturday to start getting ready. The ceremony wasn't until 6:00 PM but there were only 2 ladies doing hair so they needed lots of time to get everyone done. We spent the afternoon relaxing, hanging out, commenting on everyone's hair, doing our make-up, and having fun.

Before we knew it, it was already 4:00 PM and Megan had to start getting dressed. Since her wedding was a late one, she wanted to be able to take a her first glance photos outside but if they waited until after the ceremony, it would be dark. We helped her get into her gorgeous dress, put on her veil, and headed outside in the cold for a few photos. We finished most of the photos up inside the church before the ceremony started. Guests started arriving shortly after 5:00 PM so we had to hide in the back room and wait until 6:00 PM. Megan remained very calm the whole day and wasn't nervous one bit but she was very excited to get married to Brian.

The ceremony was a full Catholic mass and at the end of the ceremony, the Columbus Fire & Police bagpipers and drummers came down the aisle playing. Megan's husband, Brian, is a Columbus firefighter so this was really special and one of my favorite parts of the wedding.
