Todd & I made our 5th (or is it 6th?) batch of beer last weekend. We made an Oatmeal Stout which should be ready by February. Todd got another carboy (container used in fermentation of beer) for Christmas so we're hopefully gonna get another batch going in the next few weeks so we'll have 2 going simultaneously. Last February, I went through the step-by-step process of making our Holiday Ale so click
here if you're interested.
Cooling the beer down with the wort chiller
My main job in the beer making process is to write down every step in Todd's beer journal so we can compare beers we make
The wort (it's not beer yet) remains in this fermenter for about a week before being transferred to the carboy for a couple weeks
Todd's next goal is to use his grain mill to crush the grains & make his beer from "scratch" and not use a beer kit.
