Too Late To Back Out Now...

Todd & I went down to the Columbus Marathon Expo on Friday night to pick up my race packet and bib number. This is the 5th time I've been to the expo; I ran my first half marathon in 2006 and then have run the full marathon in 2007, 2008, and 2010 and this was probably the best the expo has been. There were lots of booths, mainly promoting other races, but I was excited to see the Relay Around Columbus booth and actually see a course map for the relay. Seriously, does anyone want to run this with me? Anyways, they also had a lot of running clothes specifically for the Columbus Marathon which is my favorite reason for going to the expo. I picked up my packet and was pleasantly surprised with the tech shirt included, I love the blue color!

I couldn't resist this pink "We Run Columbus" and I was psyched when one of the Clif Bar pacers gave me a couple of the seasonal Peppermint Stick bars that I haven't been able to find anywhere!

After an easy 3 mile run this morning, I'm feeling pretty good for the race tomorrow but am a little worried about some knee pain I've been experiencing the past week and a half. After doing some Google research, I'm pretty sure it's my IT band since it's the outside part of my knee. I've been foam-rolling, icing, and really taking it easy this week so we'll see what the race brings tomorrow. I'm hoping for a PR and to break 3:30. Not including my wedding & honeymoon week, I've really put a lot into this training cycle and hope it pays off. Wish me luck!
