Bump Update: Week 16

Doesn't look like much in the above picture but is more noticeable when you compare the past few weeks

How far along: 16 weeks & 3 days

Size of baby: About 4.5 inches long, weighs about 3.5 ounces, and is the size of an avocado

Weight gain: 6.5 pounds which is the same as last week but I feel a lot bigger this week!  Still might not look like a baby bump to most people but I definitely feel more pregnant now (and am hoping it will start to look more like a bump soon instead of looking like I need to lose a few lbs)

Maternity clothes: Still trying to wear all pre-pregnancy clothes but I definitely have quite a few pairs of pants that are starting to get pretty tight around the waist.  One of my running friends has had 2 kids in the past 2.5 years and gave me a huge bin of all of her clothes.  I finally tried on all the pants & shorts over the weekend and wow, did they feel a lot more comfortable but I'm just trying to hold off a little bit longer.  Oh, and I finally broke down and bought some new bras over the weekend.

Symptoms: Stuffy nose & headaches in the afternoon

Gender: Thinking boy

Exercise: Running 4 days/week and teaching 4 classes (Spin/TRX and TRX/Yoga)

Food cravings: Cheeseburger & fries

Food aversions: Nothing

Movement: Not that I've noticed yet

Sleep: Sleeping pretty well for the most part but waking up a bit more than normal (or prior to pregnancy) because my shoulder or hip will start hurting from laying on my side and I'll need to flip to the other side

Looking forward to: Going to Ikea this weekend to buy some furniture for the nursery.  We're painting the room gray & are getting white furniture no matter if we're having a boy or a girl.

Best moment of the week: Talking about baby names with Todd and having everything to start to feel more and more real

Just found your blog- you look great! I didn't really "pop" until about 20 weeks where it finally looked more like a baby bump instead of just a bloated stomach.

Have you tried a belly band? That helped me wear my normal pants for a little bit longer--and has helped me wear more of my pants earlier postpartum. :) I remember feeling like I just looked like I had too much to eat for dinner--not my favorite look although I don't know if anyone else even noticed?!
