Baby Rodrick's 2nd Baby Shower

Todd and I went to Leetonia last weekend for my baby shower with his family.   The shower wasn't until Sunday but we went up Saturday to spend some extra time visiting.  His mom and sister spent most of Saturday afternoon prepping for the shower and I could tell it was going to be nothing short of spectacular...and I was right!

We showed up to the shower about 30 minutes early so I could see how it was decorated and start greeting guests when they arrived.  The shower was in an old classroom at St. Patrick's Church and most guests said they had never seen the room look so good before!  Todd's mom and sister did an amazing job on the decorations and food and everything was perfect.  They incorporated pink & gray throughout the shower along with lots of pinwheels. It was a great afternoon despite me not remembering who everyone was when it was time to open presents....but you can't blame me because I'd only met some of his extended family once or twice over the years and there are a lot of them!

Entrance to the shower

The chair covers were a great touch to make the room look a little fancier

Favor boxes at each place setting along with a bowl of pink popcorn in the middle of the table....the centerpieces were hydrangeas with a pinwheel stuck in the vase

I had a special mommy-to-be place card and pinwheel hair clip for the baby at my spot

The prize table....they don't mess around, they had some awesome prizes

Price is Right game

Guests starting to show up and mingle

Todd & I (and you can see some of the handmade pinwheels hanging up too)

Getting food

My favorite area...the sweets table

My favorites were the strawberry cheesecake shooters...

and the Nutella mousse cups

Todd's mom, sister, and me

Todd hung out while the guests showed up and took a lot of these pictures for me and then came back at the end when he was able to open a gift his cousin got for him....an advice book for fathers with daughters

Todd, me, Stacey, and his mom

Again, just like my first shower, it truly is amazing to see how many people are so excited for your baby to arrive and are so generous.  Hard to believe the next time we see Todd's family, we'll be introducing them to our daughter!
