Afternoon at the Pumpkin Show

The one yearly tradition that Todd & I have kept up over the years is to go to the Circleville Pumpkin Show.  This was our 6th time going and Lucy's first big adventure outside of the house.  It's about an hour drive to get there so we had to time it perfectly so that Lucy was fed right before we left the house and then we knew she'd fall asleep in the car.  Todd carried her in the Ergo carrier so she continued to sleep the entire time we were there and was nice and snug.

We were hoping she could wear this hat but we might have to wait until next year

Todd & I each have our favorite things we always like to eat there and since they never change the location of the booths, we have it down to a science the order we're going to do everything.

First up was fried cheese on a stick...

Then we went check out the gigantic pumpkins and see the winner of the largest pumpkin....1312 pounds this year!

After that, we headed over to the pumpkin tower for our annual photo...

and I got in line for pumpkin doughnuts at Lindsey's Bakery while Todd got his favorite pumpkin chili

Picked up a dozen pumpkin doughnuts fresh from the oven
And finished off with a slice of pumpkin pizza & a pumpkin buckeye....not pictured was a piece of pumpkin cake I ate and a corn dog that Todd ate

Todd had taken the day off work which is why we were able to go in the afternoon and we thought it wouldn't be as crowded as when we typically go on Friday night but it was packed!  Luckily, we didn't attempt to use the stroller for Lucy because that would've been a disaster with all the other people there and other strollers.  The good thing though is that the weather was perfect and Lucy woke up just as we were heading back to our car.

Tuckered out after napping in the Ergo all afternoon

She is SO cute! Love her hats!! What a fun thing to do! I wish we had something like that around here. I'm dying to go apple/pumpkin picking but we didn't know how Noelle would do. Glad to see it can be done! :)
