We spent Lucy's first Easter with Todd's family in Leetonia. It was such a beautiful weekend outside and I really liked that Easter was so late this year. On our drive up on Saturday, we made a stop for lunch at the Dalton Dari-ette. This place has some of the best burgers and since it's a drive-in, it's not open year round so I always look forward to our drives up when we can stop. It was sunny out but still was chilly with the wind so we bundled Lucy up in her coat and we enjoyed lunch outside at a picnic table. Lucy lunched on pears while Todd and I enjoyed burgers, fries, and ice cream. We were stuffed!

When we arrived at Todd's parents, Lucy was excited to hang out her with Mama and Papa for the afternoon. We hadn't seen them since our trip up in February and Lucy has changed a lot since then. This was the first time that she was finally okay with everyone holding her and not having to have me right next to her all the time. This definitely makes life easier now!

We met Todd's sister's family for dinner at Lock 24 in Lisbon. I had my first real salad with French fries on it. Todd has told me about these and we've made it a couple times at home but I was actually able to order one at dinner. Apparently it's a Pittsburgh thing and has made it's way over to the Youngstown area.

After dinner, we went back to Todd's parents to get Lucy to bed since it was already past her normal bedtime. Todd & I went to bed shortly after and were pleasantly surprised in the morning when we woke up and realized Lucy slept through the night. We weren't sure how she would do in another "strange" place since she didn't sleep well in Houston at all. We got up and ready for Easter mass while Lucy played with Papa and Micah, the dog. She was loving the dog!
So excited when Micah would come over

Once we got Lucy ready for church, she was able to look for her Easter basket. The Easter bunny hid it on the curtain rod so Todd had to help her get it down.

After mass, we went over to Todd's sister's house for more Easter baskets and lunch with more of the family. It was such a nice afternoon with the beautiful weather, catching up with family, and spending time with Lucy on her first Easter.
I love this picture because it looks like Audrey, our niece, and Lucy were caught doing something they shouldn't have been doing

Once we got all the family pictures we wanted, we did a quick outfit change, ate lunch, and headed outside to enjoy the weather and let Lucy swing. My mom has taken her to the park and she told me Lucy really liked swinging so it was fun to finally be able to watch her swing.
Such a happy girl

We stayed until the late afternoon and then made the 3 hour drive back home. The weekends always go so much faster when we're traveling but it's worth it to visit family especially now with Lucy. She changes every day so we try to get up there at least every couple months so her grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins can see her. We'll be back up in just a few weeks for our niece's 3rd birthday party!

Sounds like a wonderful Easter! I'm so glad Lucy slept well while you were traveling--that seriously makes such a big difference. Also the salad + french fries?!
