Snowed In...Kind of

With talk of getting almost a foot of snow on Saturday, I made sure to get the girls out of the house on Friday as well as Saturday morning.  Of course, the weather ended up being fine all of Saturday (except that it was raining) but then we got freezing rain, snow, and strong wind gusts overnight into Sunday which put us at a Level 3 Snow Emergency and we were forced to stay at home.  Once we were brought down to a Level 2, I left the house to go to the grocery store and was surprised that the roads really weren't that bad.  Since everything had pretty much closed for the day, we were forced to hang out inside all day.  Plus, the temperatures had dropped to single digits so it was even too cold for the girls to go outside to play in the 4-5 inches of snow we did get.

In other exciting news, we also got our new car this weekend!  Todd had ordered a new 2019 Pilot a few months ago but we weren't sure when it would be made and delivered (Honda employees are at the bottom of the list when a car is in high demand).  It ended up being delivered to the dealership on Christmas Eve but since Todd had to sign all the paperwork at work and he was off for 2 weeks over the holidays, the car just sat there.  He's had to work late and had class a few days the past couple weeks so on Friday, he was finally able to get a ride into work with someone and then have someone else drop him off at the dealership after work so he could drive our new car home.

Lucy had asked to go to COSI on Friday since we hadn't been since November and the first area she wanted to go to was "Progress"....the girls were in the diner where Cece was ordering food from Lucy

Lynn & Brody also joined us which always makes for a more enjoyable time for the mamas (plus, I got to hang out with Lynn on her birthday!)

Giving a news report at the tv station...or really just watching themselves on tv

Cutest news anchors I've ever seen

Ventured over to the "Gadgets" area

Trying to pull herself up

I think I pulled Cece up like 7 or 8 times, she was loving it

Petting a turtle

We had a bonus gift card from Panera that we needed to use before it expired so we stopped for lunch and the girls split a heart cookie

Todd picked up our new car on Friday after work so we immediately had to take it out for a spin

My 2013 CRV that we will be getting rid of soon...

and my new 2019 Pilot...which pretty much looks just like the CRV but is bigger

Lucy requested a picture with our "amazing new car" (probably because it has a tv)

We went to Recreations Outlet on Saturday in the late morning to play before we got stuck inside the rests of the weekend

Playing basketball with daddy

Todd & I watched a new documentary on Netflix about the Fyre Festival on Saturday night---I loved it!

On Sunday, we were stuck inside all day so there's nothing exciting to note except being on a Level 3 Snow Emergency as an adult with kids definitely isn't as fun as it used to be!
