Celebrating at Milestone 229

On Monday evening, I surprised Todd by taking him out to dinner; it also happened to be the 1 year mark of when Todd proposed so I figured that was reason enough to celebrate. He was excited when we pulled up to a new restaurant in Columbus, Milestone 229. It sits on the Scioto Mile, a new riverfront park that connects downtown Columbus to the Scioto River. Unfortunately, it was rainy and overcast when we went so we weren't able to enjoy the amazing views of the Columbus skyline but we were able to still see the fountains right outside the windows. They're set on a timer and go off about once an hour, we were lucky to catch it right when we sat down to eat.

The food was great and surprisingly not too expensive. We will definitely be back again, especially next summer so we can enjoy a cocktail on their patio with a nice outside bar.

Menu

We started with pretzel bread served with Bavarian whole grain butter

I had a cheeseburger with their special sauce and sweet potato fries

Todd had Three Little Pigs which was bacon, pulled pork, caramelized pork belly and coleslaw on a bun

I absolutely loved this chocolate cake and that it came with a little jug of milk!
