This past weekend was one of my favorites in awhile--the girls were just really good the entire weekend and we made it out for a couple fun adventures. Todd actually got home from work at a decent time on Friday so we were able to go to Hofbrauhaus in Grandview for dinner. Last January, we went to the Little Buckeye Children's Museum in Mansfield and had lunch on the Buckeye Express Diner. Since then, Lucy probably asks us at least 2-3 times/month when we're going to go back there so on Saturday morning we surprised her with that as our plan for the day. She was thrilled and it was fun to watch Cece get to play this year at the museum since last year she was stuck in her car seat most of the time. We spent most of Sunday at home (except when Lucy & I went to church and then the grocery store in the morning) so during Cece's nap, I took Lucy to The Bounce Club in Powell. It gave Todd a chance to work on his beer room in the basement (all his tinkering is paying off & he can now heat pots of water without a stove!) while it gave Lucy a chance to run/jump around.
Lucy requested pigtails on Friday and then asked if I could do the same thing to Cece's hair; I wasn't sure if her hair would be long enough but it was so Cece ended up sporting her first pair of pigtails
After we dropped Lucy off at school, Cece & I headed to Trader Joe's where she tried granola for the first time (Trader Joe's always has the best samples!)
Her typical "cheese" face while I'm taking a picture
After Trader Joe's, we went to the Powell library for story time/family time and Cece was very content sitting on her stool looking at books while glancing up at the librarian every so often
After story time, she picked out a couple books to read at the table
Giant pretzel for our appetizer at Hofbrauhaus on Friday night
Lucy always asks to sit next to me (which works out because we're both lefties)...
but it means Todd is always stuck sitting next to Cece and spends a lot of time moving things out of her reach
We ate upstairs so on our way out, Lucy wanted to stop by the stage to dance to the live music
The Little Buckeye Children's Museum is fantastic and has over 20+ rooms/areas with different themes for the kids to play in; as soon as we walked in, the girls walked over to the coloring area which also had a table set up with a ton of different Mr. Potato Heads
The girls going grocery shopping
Todd ringing up Lucy's groceries
Cece was loading her cart up too
Playing in the hair salon
Lucy stayed in the hair salon while Cece played with legos...
and rode around in her car
Lucy in the vet's office
Hands down, Lucy's favorite area is the theatre/stage
Cece was her back up singer as well as keyboard player
Outfit change
The two areas Lucy has talked about for the past year were the theatre/stage and the dentist area (which is ironic because she's going to the dentist this afternoon for a cleaning, let's hope today is just as fun as it was at the museum!)
Playing at the McDonald's area
Cece loved the train room and climbed up on a bench and sat there for awhile watching the trains go by
Lucy put a pilot costume on and was flying the plane with her co-pilot next to her (I actually think Lucy loves this place so much because they have costumes in almost every area to wear)
One of the cuter areas was this outdoor/camping room; Cece found this stuffed moose and rode around on her bumble bee scooter carrying it
Afterwards, we had lunch at the Buckeye Express Diner which is a train car
Sunday morning entertainment was provided by a diaper box; Cece climbed right in and Lucy pushed her around the house (I can't say it enough right now but I really love how well they play together)

Going down the slide into the foam pit
and jumping into the foam pit
Someone had a great time!
